I was at a gunstore this afternoon picking up a handgun.
While there my 11 year-old son took a look at a Mossberg Youth Model in 20 gauge.
It fit him pretty well, but the price tag didn't fit either of us!
What surprised me was that the short barrel (my son estimates it was 22 inches long) was cylinder choke. I expected it to be in the "compromise choke," modified.
Is it common for these to be bored cylinder?
It wouldn't be a bad choke for a lot of our hunting, grouse and rabbits are usually taken close. For ducks, geese, or turkeys it would be awfully open though.
