Is there such a thing as a magazine follower that is brightly colored? I'd like one that is safety orange or some other obvious color. Or is it ok to just paint the one I've got? I'd like it to be more obvious whether my 590 has anything in the tube or not.

I don't think Mossberg makes one, but the Choate replacement is great. It works and feeds so much better than my factory one did. Callahan also makes a Green and Stainless aluminum follower.
