mossberg shotguns

How do I indentify older Mossbergs...Looking at a pump 410 and a pump 20 which has multi-chokes. The forearms are different than a newer 500 .

Also what would they be worth? The condition is excellent, no scratches etc.

The Mossberg model 500 was introduced in 1961....in the early '60's they went to two slide action bars, but asside from that they're pretty much the same as the newer ones, aside from cosmetics (and the older ones don't have montrosities and tacti-cool stuff hanging off of them)

Prior to that they only had the model 200, which could not be mistaken for a model 500....

As far as value, right around $100 each, if they're perfect... maybe $150... same as a current model used ones...
