Mossberg Trek .243 Winchester

Can anyone tell me anything about these rifles? I just bought a used one and can't find anything about it on Mossberg's website. It appears to have a factory scope, but I'm not sure. It doesn't have a name on it.

If needed, I can post pictures.

I believe it is from the second group made around 2001 or so

It was just a cheaper version of the model 100 ATR. No fluted barrel or LBA trigger. Not sure why they thought they needed an even cheaper version of a $279 rifle, but that's Mossberg for you. It should be a good shooter. IMO the 100 ATR is one of the best entry level bolt guns.

Any info. on the scope?

Does anyone know how to date these rifles? Is there a serial number reference for them?
