Title says it all. My money's on something from KAC, but I don't have enough experience with 7.62 rifles to pass a sentence. Which model is truly king?

Secondary: wouldn't a 6.5 Grendel from AA still be more accurate than any .308, just because of the cartridge it fires?

The KAC M110 is supposed to be pretty nice. It's also over $20k for the full kit (suppressor, NV, etc) according to the guys on snipers hide.
I'm sure the most accurate 7.62 rifles depend mostly on the shooter.

That is a pretty absolute question...I'm not sure the Walther WA2000 has ever really been challenged

A friend has a KAC SR25 and an OBR and so far the OBR isn't proving to be as accurate as the KAC shooting the same 175gr SMKs. Another friend recently completed a two-month army sniper course. He used a SCAR 17S in addition to the standard Remington and was impressed with the accuracy of the SCAR. He showed me a photo of one 5-shot group at 700 yards that was around 2" :what: If I were looking to buy another semi auto .308 I'd probably buy the SCAR with a 20" barrel even though magazines are hard to find and expensive. I'd also take a good look at the OBR. I have a POF P308 that shoots really well but you'll have a better chance of a good one with the OBR and hopefully with the SCAR and definitely with the SR25.

It seems like the LaRue OBR is winning more sniper matches than any of the others. But an AR-10, LR-308, or SR-25 built with good parts could probably do just as well. The OBR isn't anything magical... it's just a direct impingement AR chambered for .308, just like the others. It is just made with very high quality parts.

I'd say the most accurate rifle in this caliber is almost certainly an AR of some sort.

The WA-2000 was chambered for .300 Win Mag.
