Excuses, excuses, we don't need no stinkin' excuses. I just bought my 3rd Glock home/truck/carry gun. It ismy second model 23 and the other is 32. Iwill probably be buying another 32 or 33 soon. Why, because they do what I wantthem to and I wanted it. I have 7 heavy barreled Varmint rifles and there ain't ain't a P-dog or ground squirrel to be found for 1500 miles or better. I just like em.

There are no dubious excuse. Each excuse, in it's own way, is valid. In fact I don't even like the term "excuse". "A well reasoned decision" sounds better. Take Makarov's...there's Russian, Bulgarian and East German. SKS's...Yugo, MC-5D & Nork. Mosin Nagant's and 1911's...there's thousands of variants. Some of my favorite excuses/well reasoned decisions include: "It's Thursday", "That looks nice" and "That's why I carry a credit card".

I work hard on my newest excuse to buy a gun. You just can't go off half cocked and pick something up. It is more worthwhile to concoct a real reason why a particular firearm is needed/

My current reasoning is that I need a .22LR auto loader to compliment the 22.
single action six. Of couse if I can keep on the wife about her starting shooting I can steer her toward the .22 auto loader. This is easy enough as she would only shoot for fun and she likes .22's from back in the old days of shooting rifles on the farm.

So my backup scheme is that if she decides to get a .22 auto loader I can get a .22 conversion kit for my 1911. I am all about shooting cheap and .22's are great for that.

Gotta have a scheme going all the time.
