What relatively common brand/model of autoloader has the most expensive pre-ban magazines, in your observations of street prices?

Once that ban expires next year they will all be expensive enough to call most expensive! :p

A listed price for a 17 round FML glock mag was $145 at a local shop here, was there for about 4 months until it was picked up by someone... I would have gladly sold my G22 mags for that price!

I've seen new Walther P88 mags go for $125-$135 a pop.

I have three that came with my P88 and don't need any more at those prices. :(

There are people at local gunshows in my area who ask $120-$140 for Glock FML pre-ban magazines and yet manage to keep a straight face.

I once paid $85 ea. for some G20 NFML. Never again. Having 15 rds v. 10 is not worth $65 to me.

I've purchased some G17 magazines lately at decent ($50-$65) prices as a hedge against the possibility that the ban will be renewed, but that's the last of my pre-ban purchases. I'm confident the ban will expire, at which point I will gobble up about ten magazines for each Glock that I own...

I have seen mags in the $100-$120 range quite routinely, but I once saw a 30 round mag for a 10/22 for $150 :banghead: That was a bit over the edge, IMO :what:

Ditto to above!

I know this is a bit OT, but factory orig Ruger Mini-14 30 and 40 rounders have been spotted for $150 or so. Again OT, but Bren 10 mags--only 10rds BTW go for $150 and up when I see them!

I would think it would be Bren Ten mags, aren't they like $300 a pop, if you can even find one? Of course, that's not because they're pre-ban, just rare in the first place...

I haven't seen any pistol mag prices that made my jaw drop, but I see those AR-15 beta-c mags go for $500+ every so often on Gunbroker. I just can't fathom spending that much on a mag.

Myself, the most valuable I own is an SKS drum that I've never used.

Once the ban expires, I look for Glock mags to run $30 - $40 a pop, rather than the $15 - $20 they used to be. No way is Gaston gonna let an opportunity to make extra $$$ go to waste. He knows we've been spending $100+ for his used mags, so why wouldn't we all gladly spend less than half that for new ones?

I sure hope it does go bye-bye... I want some USP45 mags, and maybe just one Beta C mag.

Those Beta "C" magazines are worth every penny if you have a select-fire AR-15, HK93, or FN FNC.

The Bren Ten. The infamous Miami Vice gun. See if you can find any mags. I thought about buying one of those that was available here in California with spare parts, but I passed when I realized that it had no mags.

Point counterpoint!

Hicap mags for the CZ 75B can be purchased at $48.00 per copy (as long as they last). Information can be found on the CZ website. Expensive to a degree but not the $120.00+ prices mentioned here. Good shooting:)

I'm looking for that CZ mag info, no luck so far. On the CZUSA.com website or CZForum.com website?

Thompson "C" drums, around $1995ea. Now thats a little pricey. :) The 50 rounders are around $750. And I was bitching about MP5 mags at $125.

I have a Browning Challenger .22LR semi automatic pistol (The first model Challenger). The magazines are 125.00 when you can find one.........All of them are "pre-ban" as the pistol stopped and the Challenger II began production before the "Ban".

I have a Walther P88, 9MM para, semi-auto. The magzaine occasionally turn up for $90 - $100 (they are "Hi-cap" pre-ban mags)

The moral of this story is to always keep 2 or three magazines for any firearm you own!
