most realistic war movies(dialogue, combat cinematography etc.)

Regarding M*A*S*H:

The book was indeed about the Korean War. When the movie was made, it was supposed to reflect Korea, but the people making it went ahead (and behind the studio's back) and inserted the Vietnam flavor.

For the first few seasons, I thought the TV series did a good job of portraying the human cost of war. Over time, though it became an antimilitary farce.

That was why I threw a ;) behing my Dirty Dozen post, I've loved the movie since I was a kid but it has to be the most unbelievable story in the history of moviedom.

theyr'e movies, if you want "real", then they are looking for a few good men in the USMC...:neener: don't presume to know your an active/veteran of the USAF, but if you are...at ease, soldier...:evil:
