Hey everyone,

I know there is alot of debate about the AR-15 being reliable. From my limited experience, if you clean em and take care of em, they are dependable. So what is the most reliable AR-15 Lower. Whats the best in terms of dependability? Which one doesnt usually need replacement parts or doesnt get worn out easily? Which one can go without cleaning the longest? Im just doing some research on what would be the best to purchase when I have the money. I dont intend on not cleaning the gun, its just a "what if" scenario questions.

Thanks

i don't think the lower has much at all to do w/ what you are asking. i think that is more in the upper and mags.

fwiw, i use stag lowers, and have no complaints.

Hmm, I guess that makes sense. The upper is part of the equation as well.

Well, if someone can fill me in on whats the best upper/lower or entire AR all together I would appreciate it.

I only use GI magazines with the green follower. I dont own an AR, but the times I used one it had those mags and worked well.

Not all lowers are equal, but most of them aren't going to impact the cyclic reliabilty of the weapon one way or the other. CMT/Stag/RRA lowers seem to be an extremely good value. One advantage they have over some others is the increased material around the front takedown pin.

I agree with the other two posters. If you are going to buy an upper, or a lower, or a complete rifle, Stag Arms is by far the highest quality available for the money spent.

Superior Arms is a very good product. I have a Superior arms upper and lower and love it too death. I also have a Superior arms lower with a RRA 20 FF on it. And i'm going to be buidling another Superior arms lower. Can't go wrong with them and they have very good customer service.
