They have been spotted every year in the towns of Riverton and Lander Wy along with bears. Always be prepared. never know

Cats and bears have been seen in many towns in the West. We have lost calves in the past and have had bears napping in the shed that holds our shooting bench. Lived and worked in the Rocky mtns. over 30 years with many miles covered and many nights on the ground. My kids grew up in those predator infested cedars with little more than a good dog until they were old enough to carry a gun. I carry a gun most of the time but have no illusions of my ability to shoot an attacking lion that's following their typical method. The possibility increase that I may be able to aid someone else. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that most of us have much more to worry about than wild critters even though we may have actually encountered them in real life. Go prepared but not paralyzed or obsessed.
