Hello all,
Looking for recommendations to mount a RDS (haven’t determined which one yet) to a P226 that is not cut for optics in any way. Are there options like with the Glock that allow for a mount to go in the rear sight groove, or would I be pretty much stuck with having to have the slide milled?
Thanks in advance

That’s EXACTLY what I was looking for, just must’ve been searching for the wrong thing.
Anyone have ideas on how well they hold up?

I hear allot of good things about Holosun. I have a Vortex Venom 3 moa sight on a 9 mm pistol. Great sight, fired hundreds of rounds with no issue both indoors and out.

The Holosun sights are a little more expensive than the vortex but some models have the shake awake feature.

Similar to some of the SIG sights, then? I’d like that feature honestly, just not sure if I can put down that kind of $

Even though the venom sights aren't shake awake they are very good sights. I have 6moa versions on 4 firearms and they have been very durable and reliable. They also have a very good lifetime replacement warranty.

Got delayed a little bit-saw Midway has SIG Romeo 1’s available as well for around 250 at the moment. Worth it? What’s some comparisons between it in the vortex? (from personal experience, ive already read specs online)
Also any reference to SIG’s mounting plate and it’s quality vs the UGW or outer impact mounts?

No, I put one on my P226 a year ago, and it's not missed a lick. Disclaimer....I'm 72 and shake like I've got Parkinsons. Improved my marksmanship probably 40%. Send you pictures if you want.

When I got mine, I talked to EGW. They had a deal where you bought the dovetail mount for the Sig, along with the Holosun shake awake red dot on a discounted deal. Couldn't pass it up. Call them and ask them, you're not out anything but a little time. I've never been disappointed with anything I got from EGW
