We all remember George Soros and others of his ilk spending tons of wampum to defeat Bush II's re-election - in fact, that's part of the reason Dean is the DNC chairman, (or chairperson, or chair being, whatever...) And I recall more and more gun control as being part of their platform, Kerry's duck-hunting not withstanding. I ALSO seem to remember threats from a bunch of celebs to leave the country if Bush got re-elected. So how many have actually hauled up stakes and left? I think Johnny Depp lives overseas now - don't know if it's poitcally related. But otherwise, Babs, ALec, et al are all still here it seems.
 
Come on. Those guys are all actors, and were acting a part. Like many politicians, they tend to say what others tell them to.

One ought not take them too seriously.

I know it didn't have anything to do with the last election. He's lived in Europe since well before 2004 and I'm pretty sure before 2000.
 
Depp is an odd character....

but I don't think his living in france has anything to do with a republican in the White House. As high profile celebs go he seems not to run off at the mouth as most are want to do.
 
Depp has a cool place in France. Many others have great places throughout Europe.

Anyone else see George Clooney's digs in Italy? :cool: Hot and cold running women. :D

richyoung, why not set up a website keeping track. BTW, remind them that they need to renounce their citizenship as well. That way they can't come back and vote. :D
 
Depp said America is crazy with violence on the street and he wants to raise his kids in a safer environment.

I believe the correct terminology is "chairscreamer" in his case.

I've also heard that he is secretly on Karl Rove's payroll.
