I'll try to explain this simply.

I want an MP5 style rifle. This one to be exact.

I don't mind if I have to buy the parts separately or if I have to fork out cash to buy it complete. I'm aware of the BATFE restrictions with suppressors and SBRs. It wont be easy but I'm hoping it will be worth it. I know it's a lot to ask for, but if you have any information on where I can get just one part I'd really appreciate it. Receiver, lower receiver, A5 stock, BBL, Suppressor, Bolt etc. Let me know. Thanks.

First step - find an H&K94 in 9mm. Second step, SBR it and add a collapsible stock. Third step, send it to someone like SRT arms and get an integral silencer made.

Total cash in will be north of $4k.

I'd love to have one also!

When I was living in Prescott Arizona a few years ago a small shop in town had one of those for sale.

The price tag read: Don't Ask:uhoh:

I ended up asking him anyway and he said $15k:eek:

Parts kit and reciever flat from Adam. hkparts.net

After you get that and your tax stamp or stamps send it to this guy. Investment Grade Firearms

I can't personally speak for Jayson, but he has a great reputation on hkpro. I bought quite a few things from Adam for my SBR'd USC/UMP conversion and he's been fantastic.

Found a receiver at florida gun works.

Upper Receiver: $700
Lower Receiver: $500?

Can I just get any barrel and have it modified? Or is it possible that I can find a 5.7" BBL with the 30 2.5MM ports already drilled?

well, that's playin pretty fast and loose with the term 'rifle' but the real deal isn't hard to find. then you don't have to worry so much about finding all the parts and making sure they work together. ain't cheap though

So I'm seeing a HK94 receiver flat. It says I need weldments to turn the reciever. I've never seen something like this done or know how. Also, from what I understand, I dont need a FFL since the reciever isn't rolled yet is that correct?

Correct. As long as the reciever hasn't been rolled you can have it shipped directly to you. If you call Adam and tell him what you want to do he'll be able to get you almost everything that you'll need in one stop.

FWIW, I'd really advise re-thinking the integral suppressor. They do work well, but they bleed off gas through the ports in the barrel (into the suppressor body) and reduce the velocity. With most 9mm ammo, this is a good thing if you just want good suppression, but with that loss of velocity you also lose energy at the point of impact.

Another thing to consider with integral cans is the ports will get clogged with lead, copper, and soot, which will have to be cleaned out regularly or you'll get less gas bleeding off which will reduce the suppression from the can.

And the big drawback to an integral can is that you simply cannot remove it or use it on another weapon if you want. With a detachable suppressor you can move it from gun to gun - and a 9mm suppressor will work well on a .380 or .22LR

Yeah, that makes sense too. I guess i can live with just the standard model. But i still refuse to have a 16" BBL on there though. It still will remain a SBR.
