You know, they have PM's for this.
I believe anything plastic in the 1300 was made out of steel in the FN. More care taken in assembly, and anything aluminum etc in the 1300 is made out of steel in the FN I believe. I've handled both and shot 1300s, the FN does feel a bit heavier. Check their website for more details, I don't have enough rounds through the 1300 (or any through the FN) to say much more. Leroy Thompson, who writes for SWAT magazine, has a book called "Combat shotguns" on amazon.com and he shot literally every single combat shotgun out there. Reviewing the FN pump, he (and others) have said it's basically a beefed up 1300. So..... makes sense.
