Hi all,
just got myself a Mueller Tactical 4-16x50mm riflescope for my CZ.223 deluxe, anyone out there use one of these on their rifles and if so what do you think of them.....

I traded for one. I have only shot it twice. Once at 100yds and about 30 shots. Once at 600yds for 66 shots. So far so good. It's not an $1800.00 scope but for a box of spent 9mm casing I am very happy.
I seems like a 30mm tube would have made more sense. The AO on the front can be a bit far to reach. I was mixed on the turrets. On one hand I like the bigger target turrets like on other scopes. Having the option to cap them on this one is nice. My brother gave me a scope because he was always knocking the turrets. One day I noticed I was knocking the windage around with it on a .22 auto.
It does seem the Mueller is pretty clear. I have not done a box test but the clicks seem positive and the scope appears to correspond with adjustments.
When I shot at 600 the wind was creating havoc for everyone. I had a 502-5X out of 600pts. I have not shot much in the past year, so I was a little up & down on my scores. I had a 94-1x for 1 10 shot string and a 75-2x for another. 3 other strings were 82's. Nothing about me or the conditions was consistent. Not the best day for a scope review.
I am scheduled to shoot again on the 19th. I can post here of any thing I note.

Well thank your MNTFW for your reply, the guy that sent this mueller rifle scope from the States to me here in Ireland reckoned the Mueller scopes are in the running with the other higher priced scopes,i did have a look at these scopes on the web and they seemed to get great reviews,i havent tried it out on my CZ.223 as i am still waiting for the mounts and rings to be sent over as my mate sent me the wrong one,[550 mounts ]instead of 527 mounts, but when i do try them i will put it through its paces and will post on here what i think of it...

I have one it is very nice, but there seems to be an optic grease smear inside the scope and I need to send it back.

Don't have that particular model, but do have the Eraticator on my .223 bolt rifle. Excellent product. Crystal clear optics, holds zero consistently. Used to have their APV on a .17HMR; sold it with the rifle, should have kept the scope.

Use one on a 30-06 bolt gun. Approx 700 rounds and still going strong. I bought it intending to upgrade to better glass later, but that was 4 years ago and I really can't justify spending nearly $1k on a scope that is only marginally better.
