Murphy's law got me goooooood today.

I spent 4 hours finding the perfect spot at my mom's to put up my ladder stand and secure it good(i'm 260lb, i dont want to swing from a harness), made about 6 trips all the way from the woods to my jeep to get stuff(about 1/3 miles with a good elevation change). Got everything done, put my sidearm back in the jeep and went up one last time to put some corn down...start coming back down and what do i see?....2 deer....Eating some clover....Never fails. They were just babies anyway, still had the spots on them. I sat down and threw some calls on them to get there attention, they would look up and keep eating, so i got closer and called some more. I finally stood up and started walking toward them, they never moved. I got within 15 feet of them before they just walked off. I watched those two for about 30 minutes. My dog was in the house going crazy though, i guess she thought they were dogs too. I swear it was more fun than if I were hunting.
