Looking under the flash hider the crown is not bad but could be better.

For the cost it'd take to recrown a bargin bin barrel, you're half way to a good barrel.

Maybe so, but even a "good" barrel will need recrowning sooner or later. Often sooner, like right out of the box... if you're serious about a good crown.

This is would be a good point in the thread to read the OP's original question. The crux of the matter is what type of crown people prefer. There's a poll and everything.
