She has all matching numbers, blued instead of that BBQ paint on finish, non blued bolt, and I believe that stock is the only replacement part.

Third Edit:

Well... doing research and taking her apart... she's an ex-DDR! The DDR stamp is just below the wood on the left side of the receiver. Also the serial number stamping on the stock, upper handguard, etc... all are indicative of DDR pattern stamps. She'll go very nicely with my DDR Makarov.

Beautiful rifle. I have a Norinco SKS (Chinese) and I absolutely love it. I picked the SKS over the AK-47. Something about the SKS just feels right.

I have a Chinese SKS that was made in 1968 right after they started using some production shortcuts. Short barrel collar and a stamped metal trigger guard. She's a fine rifle and you're right. The SKS does feel better then the AK. I've owned SKS rifles before my current ones and later sold them. I own one AK (Century Arms WASR-10) that's a great rifle but the SKS rifles are the last of the old mindset from the Soviets much like the FN-49 is the last rifle of the old world mindset of battle rifles from the West.

Keep it in original form and resist any temptation to add aftermarket crap or change its appearance. Refrain from adding scope and other junk to it. LOL
