My 1st 2011 is a 9mm for 3 gun from Accurate Iron

Very cool and futuristic looking... I love the grip texturing. That said, that thing has GOT to be so top heavy. I'm an all steel type myself, but it looks nice.

Once you fill it up with 24 rounds of 9mm it balances pretty well.

I'm more of a single stack lover but that's some nice looking hardware. The slide cutouts are particularly striking. And by lightening the slide a little I suspect it tunes in with the recoil energy of a 9mm round a bit more effectively.

Now if you get into shooting 9Major ammo that may end up being a bit different.

I've getting more and more intrigued by the 2011, but have not had the chance to handle one. How would you compare the ergonomics to a standard 1911? Does the wider grip make a big difference in the feel?
