My 1st 4" N Frame

I have a couple of 6" N Frames, but have never had a 4" one. I only have a K & an L Frame in 4". Now I have a 4" N Frame to go with them (No Dash by the way). I traded for it a little while ago. It came with the factory grips as well. Probably about a 95% gun. The cylinder opens and closes as smooth as silk and the DA is buttery smooth. The SA has a hair of take up, but lets off real nice. I hope to get to shoot it this weekend, but the schedule is tight. Sometime soon though, that's for sure.

I have a couple of 6 inch "N" frames and they are real good shooters. however I also have a blue 4 inch M-57 and it is my favorite. if you really need anything more than that you probably need a rifle

I am primarily a semi-auto guy but broke down last summer and picked up this retro S&W 22-4 N frame. As a life long SA guy who would have guessed that I would enjoy shooting my wheelgun more! I actually used her in an IDPA match and had a whole lot of fun.

Here is an old pic of her. Since then I have added a set of S&W Target grips. I have been planning to try some of Jerry M's grips but havent' broken down to purchase a pair yet.

Nice looking M57. There is nothing as special as an P&R N frame. My only example is a 6". I'm still on the hunt for a high end shooter grade M-27 3 1/2" though. Enjoy that guy!!

I detest rubber grips but otherwise that 4" nickel m57 is a sweetheart.

I don't care for them either. I had a set of N Frame grips to put on the gun already because I put some Sile grips on my 28-2 some time back, but when I found out a set of factory grips (not original to the gun) came with the M-57, that was even better. The original factory grips would have been most excellent, but that's OK. I buy guns to shoot. Some get pampered more than others of course.

Nice looking Ruger as well. I'm trying to avoid another caliber for now. I don't seem to be able to limit myself to one gun in any caliber. Kind of like what I'm seeing here.

I have the 25-13, 4" blued Mountain Gun in .45 colt. They are sweet shooters.

I had a three inch 657 and just could not like it, so I traded it away.

Here is the 57 with S&W wood grips. Much nicer look. If I researched correctly, it's from 1980.

Fun caliber. I bought a Fire Dragon .400 Corbon 1911 conversion barrel years ago.

My first big bore handgun was a 6" S&W Model 29. I had S&W replace the 6" barrel with a 4" so I could carry it easier. It turned out really nice!

I bought it for $349.00 at a Smitty's store in Phoenix in 1990. Those were the days.

I love my N-Frames. I carry the S&W 325pd quite often (28 ozs loaded), but the S&W 610s are for carrying in the bush. All of them are deadly accurate...much more accurate than me.
