I've wanted to add the above to my current crop of handguns for a couple of months now. I've been eyeballing the newly released Stoeger (Beretta) 8045 Cougar.
On a local gun forum the subject of this handgun came up & I mentioned that I was seriously considering the 8045 as my next handgun purchase. I received a PM from another member that he had just traded a very lightly used one at a local gun shop that I'm a frequent customer of.
Well I high tailed up there yesterday morning & it was still there. (He traded it in on Monday) So I am now the proud owner of a mint condition Stoeger 8045, My 1st .45. Picked it up for $269. Looks like the Gun Gods were looking down on me this time, especially since I just sold my Stoeger Cougar 8000 for $300.
It's on layaway till next month since I'm going to be out of town until then. When I get back & pick it up I'll post a range report. It's identical to my 8000 except for the addition of a rail & being a .45 instead of a 9mm, which is a plus.
