I finally got my .260 barrel and other parts from Sharp Shooter Supply yesterday and threw everything together last night. I was hoping to get all this stuff a couple weeks ago, but SSS was pretty busy so I only received the parts just yesterday. I'm happy though cause I at least got the parts and the rifle put together for Thanksgiving weekend. I hope the California weather doesn't go crazy again like it did last Sunday so I can get some good range time to get this .260 sighted and broken in.

The only reason I say it's 'shootable' and not 'complete' is because I intend to order a McMillan stock after I save the cash for it. I'm probably going to get another A-5 because I've been really happy with the A-5 on my Savage .308.

I've been keeping a blog on my .260 project on my site:

I am planning on doing a .260 myself. I have a Rem 700 .243 that has 3000+ rounds through it and the groups are starting to grow. I am going to rebarrel it for a hunter silhouette rifle.

I can't wait to hear how your rifle shoots! Please keep us posted.
