All,

I have decided that I wanted to document my 300Blackout experiences for anyone else that may have been like me and contemplating taking their first step.

To clear things up before the questions and skepticism come rolling in, my website is totally self funded (no advertisements at all) and I gain nothing from anyone visiting. I started this website many years ago to document experiences like this 300Blackout journey I have been on in an effort to give back and share this great sport/past time we all enjoy with others, along with providing unbiased reviews.

The journey can be found here http://www.dayattherange.com/?page_id=3460 with over 60 pictures of parts for my first AR build and loads I have been tracking in my spreadsheet -- example below. Stop by and leave a comment to let me know what you think, I will continue to document this journey as I develop more loads and have recently gained access to additional rifles through friendships.

My co-worker is very much ready to step into an AR build in the 300 blackout. His buddy already has one...so...just a matter of time!

Really like the look of your rifle!

Very nice write up! I can't wait to get into a 300blk build. Think I'm leaning more towards a pistol build 9" barrel that I might eventually suppress. To which I'll add a stag pistol 'arm brace'.

Awesome rifle! the write up is great too.

Still working on my .300 Blackout build. I have a working rifle but still have a few odds and ends to finish it off but they are all in the mail on the way.
I went with the following...
DPMS upper 1:7 twist 16" barrel
Midwest Industries 15" gen II SS hand guard
Brownell's Low profile gas block
National Military Ordnance lower with DPMS lower parts kit
Magpul MOE grip and stock
Magpul AFG
Magpul MIAD/MOE CR123A Battery Storage Core
BCM extended charging handle
geissele SSA-E trigger
Harris 9-13" bipod
Fortis QD End Plate
Burris PEPR scope mount
Leupold 4.5-14x50mm VX3 scope
Leupold Aluma caps
Battle Arms BAD-ASS FDE Ambi-safety selector
Laser engraved dust cover
Thunderbeast 30-P1 suppressor

Here she is so far:

Very nice rifle you have there. You beat me to it, as I was just getting ready to add to my article that identification may be the only downfall of my rifle. I resolved it the same way you did and hope to get some more pictures with some distinguishing markings now :)
