My 300blk

Here she is. Started with a DDM4V5 in 300blk, and went from there. Wanted a rifle that I could use on deer/hog in CenTex, as well as an all around SPR.

First adds were a set of Troy's, Magpul ACS Lightweight, and ergoGrip

My Larue LT104 came shortly thereafter along with a Leupold VXR3-9x40 VXR with a TMR Firedot reticle. Here, the Geissele and BADASS, and BAD Lever aren't in yet. Pictured with my LMT

Finally, after the trigger, safety, and bad lever were in, my Lancer Systems carbon fiber hand guard came, as well as one L5AWM in FDE I'm interested to test out.


I'll be sure to post thorough and honest reviews of all of these items as they are tested.
Thanks to all who gave their time and advice to my previous threads. I'm excited to finally have a tangible version of what were once only thoughts.

Very nice. If I lived in a suppressor-friendly state, I'd be awfully interested in the .300.... as it is though.... there isnt much benefit in them for me. Enjoy yours

Very nice. I am very interested in your scope and will research that option.

I don't see the Leupold VXR3-9x40 VXR with a TMR Firedot reticle listed in the catalog. I only see the Mark AR MOD 1 3-9x40mm listed with that reticle.

Personally the Ballistic Firedot looks attractive to me.

Conspicuously mark the rifle and magazines as to caliber if you also have 5.56 about the premises. May save future difficulties.

I'm doing the FDE furniture on this build and only using FDE or painted mags for it as well.
My 5.56 is all black with black magazines.
I'm hoping that'll do as these rifles won't be used by anyone outside of my supervision or without extensive experience.

Well Murphy and I had lunch today.
I went to zero my BUIS at a local indoor range after the hand guard install, (still using gripod btw) and the troys were getting me about 4in right of center at 50yds. So I threw some clicks on the sight and got moved in nicely.
Attached the Leupold and sent the paper out to 100 and the crosshairs were canted left as I saw them against the corners of down range. Something was off.
So I took my mag out and locked my bolt to inspect the barrel nut and sure enough it's canted counterclockwise as you look from the muzzle back.
Now I'll have to get the hand guard removed and installed again. Guy at the LGS who did the work says he'll have it done and back to me in two days.
Two days I wish I had the rifle!
