I've been reading until my eyes hurt about those Zero 240g projectiles sold by Roze (which my batch measured .430", not .431"). Finally, I took the plunge and just bought some. I did some more reading and some measuring and came up with my own loads and thought I'd post my results here. I took them out today and shot them out of my Super Redhawk and Henry Big Boy carbine.

I made the following loads (as always, this is my own load data, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK...although none of those are max charges):

23g of H110, win mag primer

15.7g of Accurate No7, win mag primer

19g of 2400, CCI non mag pimer

Ran them through both firearms and all shot perfectly fine. Both the H110 and 2400 loads were pretty stout in my SRH, but didn't put up a fight in the Henry. The No 7 feel lighter on the hand dyno and shot very well.

Getting everything sighted in with my Henry, my best 5 shot groups from 25 yds were:

H110- 1.554"
2400- 1.850"
No 7- 1.110"

I've never used No 7 in 44 mag before and was very pleased with the results. I'm going to focus on the H110 and No 7 loads for my next range trip and see what they can do at 50 yds.

The verdict is still out as to if my SRH likes those bullets or not, I need to do some more testing.

I've used #7 in a 44 Mag 9.5" SRH with very good results, at least at 50 yds. I keep meaning to go longer, but as of yet I haven't managed to do that.

Prior to using #7 I really thought it would be too fast for good results, but upon reflection, I've happily used HS-6; and #7 is close to the same speed.
Top velocity isn't possible, but good accurate results are.
