I have been doing this for many years now as my way our Honoring our Fallen. This morning was a nice but windy (25+). No use setting up paper targets and the 100 yard range was closed so I had to use one of the 50 yard ranges. There were some pieces of clay birds to aim at on the berm. I don't think I hit any but dirt was flying. I love the sound of that Ping!

1942 Remington 1903.
1943 Springfield Garand.
Saginaw with a 1944 Underwwod bbl.

The one box has written on it. "30.06 1934 $1.00" I'm not even sure if a dollar buys you one round now.

Inflation calculator says that single George. is now worth a tick over $21. I don't think the calculator I used is counting in this latest insanity so we need to tack on another 8-ish %....more likely.

We did the same thing yesterday but with evil black rifles. No point in posting up a pic, they all are the same.

No pic… it didn’t happen. Sorry.. I don’t make the rules. I just enforce them.

To the OP: Great stuff brother! Awesome way to pay respects & remember.

I did my own version of this at my indoor range a couple months back, though I was just using wussy pistol-caliber chamber adapters plus a rimfire conversion unit on my 1911:

Admittedly, Memorial Day would have been much more apt, but my wife didn't feel like celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary at the range :)
