Hi Lads,
I have a Sabre defence (uk law straightpull) AR15, I am in the process of swapping parts, and I am at a crossroads to what is "correct".
I have purchased a m16a1 Buttstock non-trap door with a rack /armoury number on the side,the m16a1 pistol grip,m16a1 delta ring + triangle forgrips.
Also have 3 x alloyed follower 20 round mags marked Simmons Precision Prod. Inc.
Okay, now I have atm the fixed A2 upper for which I want to change, now then, what upper should I go for one with a forward assist or one without the forward assist, I am not sure if the m16 was straight changed from pre tool kit and n FA to trapdoor and FA added ,or was they transitional changes i.e added along a timline. Same goes for the 3 prong flash hider.
I basically do not want to get the revisions mixed up.
The UK law will not allow me to get a used upper, but I can get a new one, I have seen a Bushmaster a1 upper with FA and Cdef, and I have seen Fulton armoury selling a Upper Receiver, M16, "Slick Side" Type.
if there is anything I have missed I would love to know please !!!!
