My Buddy was on the waiting list for the Ruger LCP and it just arrived in the shop last night (Wednesday the 5th) here in Portland (Keith's Sporting Goods). He sent me a picture of it next to his Kel-Tec P-3AT. Man, they sure look alike. But the Ruger just has that "certain something" that the Kel-Tec doesn't. He hasn't shot it yet, but whenever I get to try it out, I'll post a range report. Here is my first attempt to post a picture on THR. Hope it works.

I have NEVER liked the look of the Kel-Tec, but for some reason I find the Ruger to be quite the sexy little gun. Thanks for the side by side comparison picture, that just makes me feel all that much more sure about the looks.

I've read the KT magazine will fit in the RUger. I wonder if it is compatible.

If your bud has the chance to run some Wolf steel-cased ammo through the Ruger LCP I would be interested to hear how that goes. The fact that the Kel-Tec is known to choke on that stuff has been why I have had no interest in it, but if the Ruger can handle the stuff I may start saving up for one.

We briefly had one at the shop before it sold and while I can't comment on how it shoots, the Ruger has a much better feel to it compared to the Kel-Tec.

waiting for anybody...anybody to do a side by side firing of these two. Personally, my Kel Tec malfunctions when fired after pocket-holster carried for a couple of weeks...every time on second round. It fires ok if I just cleaned it/lubed it and off to the range. I want, oh so much, for the Ruger to be better. Stats...experience...demonstrations...somebody, give me the range review!

Maybe switch to a thicker lubricant so it will not run during the time it resides in a holster.
