I had a Sigma in .40 SW but traded it for the 1911. It is hard for me to get good hand guns right now since I am only 19

Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't it a federal law you must be 21 to own a pistol?

It all depends on how you obtain it. My Sigma I bought out of a local classified from a retired sherrifs deputy that had it as an off duty weapon, and since he did not have a FFL it is considered a private party transaction and therefore legal. My currant pistol I did something similiar I went to a local gun show and I brought the Sigma with me hoping I could sell it to someone but I found someone willing to trade me their NIB Taurus PT 1911SS for my Sigma + $ 150, so I gladly took them up on there offer once I inspected the weapon and checked to make sure that the weapon was not stolen so it was another private party transaction and therefore legal

I hope this answers your questions

regardless of how you got it, you are under 21 and own a handgun.

If I'm not mistaken, this is a felony according to federal law. Am I correct?

EDIT: did some research, I see it's another of those convoluted gun laws :eyeroll:

I'm glad you're able to have it, and are good to go legally. Enjoy!

I had to do a lot of research before I got it also the laws are so confusing on some ofl this stuff. If it was illegal I would have been arrested by now since I got a membership through work to the local Police Department Range and have been shooting with them.

Thanks for your concern though

I'll have to recommend my latest handgun purchase, a CZ (Vz) 52, [7.62x25] quite fun! Many are coming on the market, around $200. Or for a pocket carry, a CZ (Vz) 27.{.32} It does fit in your pocket! If you opt for one not Nazi marked, also around $200.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I think both are quite sexy too!

Let's see....

you need a .50 BMG Barret.
a Weatherby Rifle in some ungodly weird caliber only 3 people have ever heard of and each shot is $20.
a Grenade Launcher in 40mm
a .600 Nitro Express for hunting prairie dogs.
a 1903 that has been sporterized by a fiend with his own 3 hands.
a pack of Chicklets chewing gum.
and finally...

A Borschardt Sharps in .45-70 in a military configuration..

Or, get whatever YOU want.

My next step would be to stock back plenty of mags, ammo and replacement parts for each weapon

I have 11 mags for the XCR and about 1500 rounds and a small parts collection

I have 4 mags for the 1911 and plan to buy 4 more this weekend and about 500 rounds of ammo

I have about 300 shells for the 870

I have 3 mags for the Thompson Center and about 1300 rounds

I have 4 mags for the Hi-Point and about 150 rounds

I have about 200 rounds for the Mosin Nagant and 4 extra bolts and a spare magazine and butt plate

Tacweapon,
You can join the GCA, Garand Collectors Assn, for $25/year. That counts as a CMP affiliated club. Or, depending on where you live, you could join your state's rifle & pistol Assn. You know you want a Garand more than anything else.

I'd add another 22 rifle; probably a CZ 454 or 453. Your rifle thoughts for hunting calibers is good.

When the time comes, I'd add a 357 mag revolver and probably something like a Glock in 9mm or 40 S&W.

Garand, AK47, an non-modded Mosin, FAL/G3, Something like a lever-action 30-30, and definitely some more handguns.

Also, you dont have to care about AKs. You need one, and that is the end of it. Comrade...
