After waiting two weeks for my new mail order bride to get here, I was able to pick her up this afternoon. She's a CZ SP-01 Phantom.

The SP-01 Phantom is the polymer framed version of the classic CZ75, in SA/DA with a decocker. It was recently chosen as the new side arm for all Czech Armed Forces and National Police Forces.

She has a 4.7" barrel and and a capacity of 18+1 9mm rounds. I think I'm going to prefer the smaller backstrap, but won't be sure until I have a chance to take her to the range for a workout on Thursday or Friday. I'll post a range report as I soon as I have to shoot her.

The SA pull is light and crisp, but the DA is just a tad gritty. I have bene told that they smooth out very nicely after being used.

Nice pistol---CZs have a outstanding reputation for shooting well---maybe they even make a .22 conversion unit---that would be sweet!

It looks exactly like my SP-01 tactical but with a polymer frame. I imagine it is much lighter.... :D

Sweet pistol you have there.

nice, always wanted a phantom. dont forget to post up some range results

CZ's are definitely some of the best looking guns made today. Hope it shoots as well as it looks and they usually do.:)

Nice Pistol.

I have one as well. Good Shooter.

Be aware that if you choose to buy the Kadet 22 conversion, you will likely have to purchase a different slide locking lever. I forget exactly which one, but CZ CS can help you out.

Enjoy.

Range report: I had a chance to run 100 rounds of Federal 115gr FMJ through it today. It ran like a champ. I had one user induced failure. The second mag that I ran was not inserted all the way and fell out after my first shot. This was purely my fault and in no way could be blamed on the gun.

It fit my hand like a glove with the small backstrap and the ergonomics are perfect for me.

Accuracy was VERY good. It's way more accurate than I am.

The high left group was 25 yards aimed roughly at the line between the 8 and 9 rings. With my G17 that I sold, half of my shots were off the paper at 25 yards. The low left group was 10 yards and the center was knocked out at 15 feet.

HSO,

I have a friend that makes custom leather. He told me that it will take about 2-3 weeks to make me an OWB holster with elephant trim. He will need the gun for about 3 days to hand bone the leather to fit it.

CZ is one of the few companies who routinely makes aesthetically pleasing firearms, even in polymer. Great choice. A cz-75b and phantom are definitely on my list of guns to get.

Congrats on the Phantom. I've loved mine ever since I got it. Night sights for the -75B will fit on it.

The trigger will smooth out considerably with use.

Despite claims to the contrary, most SP-01 holsters will fit the Phantom, including the Blade-tech WRS holster.

The DA trigger pull is starting to smooth out, but it's taken a toll on my trigger finger. I inserted and fired case into the chamber and dry fired it 400 times in DA.

Just a thought..............you don't have to do it all a once.
