Yes it is and it's been a constant companion all these years either out on a backwoods hike or else making the usual trip to the range. It was originally blued with these horrible thumb rest grips (which along with the adjustable rear sight were needed so the gun could "earn" enough points to be imported). I replaced the grips with an older factory pair that I found in an ad in the back of a gun magazine.
A couple of years later I noticed there was something wrong with the bluing which Beretta acknowledged as a problem with some of the earlier models like mine. They reblued it under warranty but the problem came back again so I had it hard chrome plated by Ron Mahovsky of Metalife. After many miles in a holster on countless backwoods hikes, it still looks as good as the day I got it back from Metalife!
I should also add that it has been incredibly reliable with any .22 ammo I have run through it as well as possessing more than adequate accuracy for a .22 plinker. Only drawback that I can see is that factory magazines are hard to come by (and expensive too)! I found a factory magazine for another model (101, I think), that even though it is a bit longer, it still fits and works perfectly in my gun.
