Hey THR Crew...
I just got in from The Cave from assembling 200 rounds of 375 WIN. I cast the boolits last week, tumble lubed them in LLA and then a second time in Johnson's Paste wax.

I just got in 500 pcs of new Winchester brass and decided to assemble half with cast and the other with Sierra's.
For the cast, I am pushing them down the pipe with RE7. I have had great success with my pet load I have played around with for some time. Extremely accurate at 100 yards and out to 200 yards. Just a blast to shoot.

I must say, I love assembling this cartridge. At the moment, it is my favorite to assemble. I ran out of time for the last 50 rounds of Cast boolits so I will finish them tomorrow. Then I can start on the Sierra's. Looks like another great weekend at the range.

Just wondering what are some of your favorites to assemble for you guys out there.

The .375 Win is also one of my favorites, and Reloader-7 is THE ideal powder for loads used in lever guns. It's a 52k CUP cartridge, just like the .308 Win, so it can really bark when loaded to it's full potential. That straight wall case looks like a giant pistol cartridge, like a .357 that's been exposed to some kind of weird comic book radiation.

The 7-30 Waters and .44 Mag are two of my other favorites to load for. The .38 Spl is a good one, too. There’s so many bullets and powders to try, and it’s such a pussy cat to shoot.

Casting bullets and loading for the .45/70 is great fun and very satisfying, especially when bullets you've cast yourself group well at 100 yards and beyond. Not saying that the .47/70 is my fave to load, just that it's a hoot. My rifles are a Ruger Number One and an original Springfield trapdoor. Photo of cast alloy bullets attached.

Out of the two calibers I currently load for, .38 special with Trail Boss powder is my favorite.

I have several to load for but the ones I get the most enjoyment out of loading is the 338 remington ultra mag (left) and the 308 winchester (right).

I load the 338 with 96 gr of h1000 and use fed 215 primers slinging a 200 gr nosler

the 308 w/36 grains of norma 200, fed 210 primers and a 150 gr sierra bullet

also loading 308 w/46 grains of imr 4895, fed 210 primers and a 130 grain barnes tsx

For me its 10MM , 11.6gr of IMR 800-X , using Berrys plated 155gr bullets . Out of my S&W 1006 it clocks about 1450 ft/sec

The good old 357. Maybe you have heard of it. Casting your own from wheel weights and loading them to kill a 1 gallon paint can at 100 yds offhand with a 6" GP-100 is hard to beat. Doing it with the wife's EAA Windicator 2" snubby does it though.

I like .223 and .308. The .223 is downright fun, just about any medium speed rifle powder works well in it, pretty much impossible to assemble crap ammo. Loading .308 match ammo is fun and rewarding, printing 2.5" groups at 300 yards is awesome, its recoil is tolerable and long range performance is more than adequate.

223 or any pistol caliber. I use my Dillon on all pistol calibers and a single stage on 223. 223 re-sizes easy and bullets aren't super expensive YET.

.357 maximum. Its a hoot to load and shoot. I also like .44 mag/spl, 480 ruger and 300 Win Mag.

I also like loading almost as much as shooting.
