My dad was a farmer. Never a gun guy. But he did buy me a .22-250 when I was maybe 14-15. I terrorized the local groundhog population. Gave up hunting in my 20's and sold it. I'd pay new price to get it back

Nice; thanks for sharing the story. My Dad wasn't a shooter, so it was my FIL that really got me into hunting and all that goes with it. My Dad helped me learn about grace in other ways.
How interesting because my FIL is quite a spiritual mentor for me but doesn't have the first clue about any firearm.
