I had my first Moisin , a sporterized Russian one 35 years ago, but on word of mouth from THR bought a very nice M28 Homeguard years back which proved to shoot good ammo into 5" at 200 yards with 60 YO eyes. So when I found the M39 with a PU scope and bolt modifacation from Century for cheap I sprang for it. It came with a funky Ukranian PU "type" scope but I also got a PU mount with Weaver rails with it! I fired it for the first time yesterday and sighted the funky 3.5 scope in at 200 yards with some Russian "sniper " ammo and got 6" groups. I had to fold and duck tape a towel on the comb of stock to get a good mount of the gun about 2+ inches of towel! O well not my go to SHTF weapon , but reliably useable I guess. These Finns are nice IMHO
