Several years ago I bought a box of Astra 600 parts that had 6 frames. The guy didn't know if all the parts were there so I got every thing very cheap! After I got done laying out the parts at home I found I now owned 6 Astra 600s. After putting them back together & shooting them, ( they all worked !). I picked out a nice one for me. Over the years I sold or traded the others. I ended up paying $30 for mine. I still have a bunch of extra original magazines to sell or trade also. P.M. me if you need a few. This is one fun gun to shoot & always draws comments. Mine served in the Portuguese navy. It is in good shape & has the lanyard ring intact. For years no one wanted them & you could get them cheap! But like all WW2 guns it has become much more collectable. The Luftwaffe paratroops preferred the as you could carry it ready to go on a drop. But as was pointed out not all of them made it to Germany before the war ended. The German B.P. used them for awhile after the war. As I have extra mags for it, It still forms a role as a H.D. piece. But my grandson has his eye on it & likes to shoot it . He will probably end up with it.
