I am in Marshall Texas right now. I went out to the range today taking my guns from my air conditioned hotel room, air conditioned car and outside to the local gun range. It's been kind of a humid day, real cloudy, a bit of rain around the East Texas area (very little if any in Marshall itself). Not particularly hot (didn't catch the temp, but it didn't feel anywhere above 90.)
Once I got opened the back of my SUV where the guns were and took them out...they started sweating like crazy:uhoh: :uhoh: :uhoh: . By the end of the range time, it was like someone had poured water over them. . I had a good time with them and didn't have any problems, just slick hands every time I'd pick up my rifle or handguns.:scrutiny:

I'm in the DFW area. For the weeks we have been in this spell of 100+ days the humidity has been very low. Now that the temperatures have moderated and some rain has arrived, the humidity is up around 70-80%. Nothing like 50 points more to make you sweat!

The trick is to get the guns warm before exposing them to humidity. So put them in a reasonably airtight container like a gun rug and expose them to heat/sunlight for a little while, then take them out. No problem.
