My thinking has always been, a gun in a law bideing citizen's hand is one out of a criminal. Abrams tanks all the way down to a Red Rider Bb gun.
So when I get enough cash I go and buy a new toy. If I have to sell, its because I have no money what so ever, living on spam and pork and beans.

You sold the BH - sell the Taurus. If you want to get into CAS, I think you will know what to do - two revolvers, holsters, clothes, a period appropriate shotgun, etc. Big expense. If hunting isn't your forte, consider being a plinker. Now consider beind a frugal plinker - get a DA-capable decent .22 rimfire revolver. The currently available Ruger 4.2" SP101 in .22LR isn't a bad choice at all, although I prefer my S&W 3" 63, also currently available. The top of the line is the S&W 4" or 6" x10 617. .22LR ammo seems hard to find currently, but it is still out there - always easier to find than .44 Special, .45 Colt, etc - and at a small fraction of the cost of even .38 Specials. Just my thoughts...
Here is assured fun, a 4" x10 617 with SW617 HiViz front sight & Ahrends retro target grips; and a DS-10 Speedloader and baseplate:
Dave at DS-10 makes different x8 speedloaders and baseplates that will fit the S&W 63 or the Ruger SP101. Shooting fun intensifiers. Want protection? Load CCI Stingers!

PS I had a .454 SRH and a bunch of Ruger SA's - all gone. I have fewer S&W's - and am happy - especially with my rimfires - which started with the above 4" 617 9/08 - at the age of sixty! Don't wait so long!
