Complete? Complete!? Bwahahahah!!! Silly boy (Hey, anyone notice Boss's initials...?) - wait'll you see that next "can't live without" hunk of metal and wood... :neener: :neener: :neener:

(Really - nice start though. )

Once, while I was at the fine china alter :barf: my guts out I SWORE ( and prayed ) to the LORD ALMIGHTY that I would never, ever drink again. I had just turned 21, and have never drank again:rolleyes:

SKS
Savage Mark II .22
Ruger 10/22

Unless I inherit some dough, this will be it.

I guess I should say 'complete', unless more unexpected riches come my way.

No CZ 75? its a staple!

I have owned 3 CZ's. All three had a trigger too far for me to reach it properly. CZs are way too big for my hands.

Wheres the 1911s...

Can fit a few more in you collection.... right...? :D

I have owned:

Colt Commander
Three Springfield Amory 1911s
A Kimber Ultracarry II
a Rock Island Commander.
A Para single stack

I don't like 1911s, so I did not keep any of them.

Guns I have owned that I did not keep:

Two CZ 75s, one CZ 40

Glock 17,19,23,26,36

Walther P99
Witness 45
Witness 9
Witness Polymer 9
Colt Commander
3 Springfield Amory 1911s
Para Ordinance single stack
Kimber Ultra Carry II
Rock Island Commander
Sig P239
Baby Desert Eagle

Out of these the Glocks, the CZs, the Springfields, Para and Kimber were the reliable ones. I just did not like them.

My collection has been complete 5 times. It'll probably be complete 5 more times in the next years or two. ;)

Congrats, very nice guns. Did you get the adjustable sight or fixed sight Standard BHP? My heart is with them.

I have the adjustable sight. I used to have a Capitan with the tangent sight. In a fit of brain cloud I sold it last year. That was the stupidest thing I have ever done.

Well, I have egg all over my face and have to eat all my words.

I ran into a 2nd HK USP 9 (used) and since I love my main one so much, traded my XD subcompact to get the 2nd HK.

If I stumble onto another decent Hi Power or a USP compact at the Indy 1500 this weekend, it's possible the Beretta could get traded. I'd have to do it now while I still have some decent income.

I have learned my lesson and will never again make "final" statements!

So, it's now:

S&W 19-3 6 inch
Astra 4 inch .38 special
Taurus 617
Star Ultrastar 9
Beretta 92FS
HK USP 9 #1
HK USP 9 #2
Browning Hi Power Standard
SKS
Savage Mark II .22
Ruger 10/22

I will certainly listen from now on. I am humbled.

Yeah, you're right.
All the time, every year I ask myself - what I want to buy. And by the end of the year, I mean every year - I told myself - my collection finished. Like today - I got additional 2 guns and traded Luger 22lr for XD9; and it is enough for this year.
But next January I will ask again the same question - what's new....

Mine is complete also, two Glock 19's and a Glock 21. What else could one possibly need?

You forgot .40. I think you need another one - G22 or G23. And than - it will be complete..... for a long time.... of few month

"My collection is now complete."

I will never mutter those words to myself or in publiK. Never! Ma god I added four just this year. (Ok, one was for my son.) But I had to clear out some friends rifles and three pistols from MY safe to make room.

I'm only inching up on 43 years young. I've got a long time to keep collecting that which makes me happy.

-Steve

I used to make that mistake and say things like that. My favorite was "Well I'm good now. I don't need anything else." Stupid. need and want and two different things. Now I just roll with the punches.

Sorry, CZs will never be in my collection. The trigger reach it too far for my hands. I've tried a CZ 40 and a 75. I can't hold either one properly and reach the trigger.

Besides, after a few years and literally dozens of handguns, I've finally found the ones that are a perfect match for me, and none compare.

The HKs are tops.

photos

Picked up a Ruger Mark II and an FEG Hi Power today, both in excellent condition, at the Indy 1500. Finally have a collection photo.

Boss Spearman, if I may ask, what is that one-piece looking block of polymer at the upper right corner of your collection? Some kind if EAA pistol?

so the Walther was not reliable? I'm somewhat surprised.
why didn't you like it?
