I like it!

I am wanting to do something similar with a MA-Ten build... I want to build a 20" rifle that is nice and light, along the lines of an M-14 or FAL. I want to build it with an Armalite AR-10 chrome lined barrel, a 12" Troy TRX Extreme FF handguard, and probably an E-mod stock. It should make a nice platform for my TA-55A ACOG and KAC 2-600m flip up rear sight.

The STAR-10 Rail and UBR make mine pretty heavy...about 13lbs unloaded

the trx extreme should be lighter (i would have used that instead, but it wasn't on the market when i built mine) the e-mod should shave some more weight too
