Here's pictures of my Mossy Cruiser, I love this thing. I just wish 00 buck shot was less than $0.50 a round.:)

Area looks like western Texas around El Paso when I lived there 35 years ago. Complete with the trash people dump in the desert. Amazing how much junk is out there waiting to get used for impromptu target practice.

Birdshot is a lot cheaper than buck -- and at close ranges you can still have fun mangling the trash.

I like that thing too. And I like how you blew that zombie right out of his chair. I hate it when they don't stand for humans.

Zombies.... I hate zombies.:)

The place thats in the picture's is pretty much a dump for those who illegally dump on BLM. It makes me amd that people are such pigs, but if the stuff is there waiting for a load of buck shot.....

At Wal-Mart (I really try not to buy gun stuff at Wal-Mart) there have a box of 100 shells for $20, are there any deals like for buck shot?

My Wal-Mart sells cases (250 shells) of bird shot for $30.00 :)

Buck shot is never cheap, but you might look for some Seller & Bellot.

You're a better man than I am... I was blasting a full mag of 00 buck from my 590 with the factory (metal) pistol grip and funkified my thumb... it's still not quite right 3 years later. Those full-house loads really kick. And I'm not usually a recoil wuss. :D

$30 isn't bad.:) I bought a S&B ammo from the gun store, it was $0.50 for the buckshot.

www.ammoman.com has some pretty good deals, some federal reduced recoil buck and slugs, 50 shells for $40 shipped, I guess thats a good deal?
I don;t know, the S&B is quote a bit cheapper though. As long as it goes bang when I pull the trigger I'm happy.:)

I don't care how impratical it is, I want one of those. How bad is the recoil?
Not bad at all, the full sized loads knocked my back a couple steps the first few shots, but not nearly as bad as I was expecting.
Kind of like a Mosin Nagant, but more of a push than a quick punch.

I just figured it out, at Natchez a box of 00 is $7.38 (plus shipping) or $0.30 a round.

More info please. I googled it but got nothing but german weirdness. As you note above I thought the stock pistol grip was metal... that's how hard it is. :D

My bad. I got Knoxx and COPstock merged in my brain and it came out Koppstock. Here's the actual beastie:

I put one on my Mossberg 500 and it worked fantastic. I could shoot standard buckshot without the folder down, though I wasn't brave enough to try the very hottest brenneke slugs. The folding arm is very good at flexing and taking up the recoil.

what about shipping though?

That would depend on what you bought and how much. It's kind of hard to guess. In any event it would be cheaper than the .50 cents a round he's paying now. :)

I twould be great to get it for under $0.50 a round, that buck shot is fun.

Are slugs cheaper than buck shot?
