Everyone, meet Big Boss. He's a Springfield G.I. Champion. 7.5 inches of old school 1911 goodness!
I picked him up early this afternoon then took him to the range for 50 rounds (I know, I know, but that's all I had time for) and I must say, it's great fun to shoot! I've seen some people on the internets complaining about the low profile sights, but I don't mind them at all. Really the only thing that I don't like is the trigger. It's hard as a rock. If it doesn't loosen up over next couple hundred rounds, I'll probably put in a new one. But even with the trigger, I was still getting 2-3 inch groups at 20 feet, which is pretty good for me (I'd say the gun is more accurate than I am). So yeah, I've very pleased with it. Oh, and yes I name my guns for fun
