Nice specimen (and background). You should be proud.

Having been thoroughly pleased with my P32, I am seriously considering "upgrading" to the more potent .380acp.

What are the dimensions in comparison to the P32? I understand the grip width will obviously differ, but what else?
I suspect the overall width will have been increased, but if the overall length and height are the same, it should serve well for warm-weather carry.

Range report? When you get the chance, perhaps you could inform us how well it performs with your typical JHP.

They still have not made their way out west the Mississippi!!

How's the trigger?? I shot a P11 last week and the trigger was so bad that I could not keep shots to POA and it wasn't me because right after, I put six rounds into the black with my MK9!!! A bad trigger will kill the deal for me!!

Also, I hear reports of Kel-Tec's QA becoming hit and miss again!! Wassup with that?? I thought they solved those headaches????

My P32 is good. Although, it is still a point shoot weapon!!!

Well, 100 rounds of S&B FMJ with one FTE and it was because I limpwristed. I'm actually surprised I only had 1 FTE as I was limpwristing like crazy towards the end. The failure was on the second to last mag. My hand was simply battered. Now, with that in mind, the first 60 or so rounds were nothing to shoot. Think about it, when will you ever shoot that many in a self-defense situation? Exactly. Great gun.

My triggger is actually very smooth. No grittiness like my friend's south of the border polymer DAO pistol. The long trigger pull takes a little to get used to, but once you find the breaking point, slow fire shots can be pretty accurate.

This first target was at 10 feet, on the second mag I ever fired through the gun in very rapid triple-tap succession.

Next is a 15 feet target. Same S&B ammo. Not rapid fire, but not slow fire either. Kind of a controlled quick fire if you will.

I picked it up next to a p32, and it's slightly longer, and that's the only noticible difference by the naked eye, IMO. Literally the same dimensions. I put a Hogue HAndall JR sleeve on it and it became even nicer to shoot. I will trim the sleeve as I feel fit, but other than that I love this little gun. :)

Good report Joe. And it's nice to see some visuals included. Good luck with your new piece.

Joe, you wrote (my edit): "Well, 100 rounds of S&B FMJ ... and .... My hand was simply battered. " Does it smack the hand that much? I can understand how 100 rounds will cause a tired trigger finger and a shakey sight picture (my biggest gripe against DAO pistols) but are you telling us it has an uncomfortable recoil? Not meaning to put down your abilities, some guns have a skinny handle and a mean snap, and will become a loud meat tenderizer. My hand being the meat.

Bart,

I have pretty big hands and I'm right handed. Also, about 3 years ago a 300+ degree hot-head steel clothing press came down on my hand at my parent's dry cleaners. I was lucky it only stayed down for a few seconds and I didn't lose my hand entirely. The bad news was the 3rd degree burn. There was no flesh left, it was down to muscle and I did suffer some muscle damage. Part of my recovery was supposed to be doing excercises to rebuild the muscle in that hand. I, of course, being 19 and stupid, did not. Shooting a 12 gauge shotgun with a just a pistol grip and light bird loads gives me trouble. I can never get a decent "crush" grip on friend's hands while playing around. This might be part of my problem. BUT, when I first started shooting it, I felt nothing. I was in total control. It just seemed to happen around the last 3-4 mags. I found myself not holding firmly and my hand a bit tired and sore when it fired. I also might have been paying too much attention to my sighting and laxed up on the grip. I do that a lot.

All my rambling aside, no, it's not that bad. Both my buddies that are range officers that night fired it and both of them loved it. It's snappy, but not uncontrollably. Being locked breech, it's nowhere near as bad as say a Walther.

aaaaaaaalright, alright, let's not get carried away. ;):)

It's my backup gun because it's so easy to carry and now when my glock is too difficult to conceal, I'm not unarmed. The glock is only temporary, though, until I can afford an NRM colt commander to customize as a carry piece.
