This is the second revolver I've ever owned, and the first one that actually worked. The first was a taurus 3" .357, and though some people have luck with them, I will never buy a taurus again.

This is my Uberti 1873 Cattleman, single action army in .357 magnum. These are also available in the ubiquitous 45 long colt, but I don't handload so this is more powerful (not to mention cheaper and easier to find around here).
I'm in love, the ONLY 300 dollar gun I've ever touched that felt completely WORTH twice that.

I just sold my FEG lol. Pretty similar guns there, They are both very easy to carry. I just miss knowing I most likely have the biggest bullet if things go down.

While I would never advise it, I know two fellas in LA who most of you have probably seen in a couple of movies who are professional film "wranglers" and as such, treat the costume as a professional uniform. I ran into them in town once years back and asked why they would carry that heavy SAA kit on their hips all the time - isn't that a lot of effort for props? Bow-leg says... "What props?"

If you are new to single action revolvers, keep in mind, that SAA type gun is a 5 shot. Hammer down on an empty cylinder if you're going to carry it.

Carrying a SAA size revolver really isn't that difficult with a good holster.
