So Ive wanted an Esee Candiru forever and for some reason could never pull the trigger on one.

While cruising another forum I belong to I came across a guy who makes his own as a hobby. After some time he posted a pic of one he made and I knew right then, I had to have him make me one.

So I did :)

Told him I wanted something like the Esee. So he got to work on it. What was cool is that each day he emailed me and let me know what step he was on and even included a pic.

Here is how it went...

So cool. Wicked sharp. Awesome looking. Its not winning any beauty contests, its a user....perfect!

Now I am looking at making a kydex sheath for the blade only so I can carry it in my pocket. Not sure how I will do it just yet. Open to any suggestions there.

Sorry for the huge pic size. Not sure how to make them smaller.

He made the knife from 1084 steel, if you are curious.

I like the handle geometry relative to the blade. Looks good for powerful cuts.

You could use a static cord sheath rig for pocket carry. It attaches to the belt and then when you draw you continue the drawstroke until the blade is loosed from the sheath. I prefer OWB canted around 11 o clock with a Gclip myself...

Looks like it makes it easier to get all the blade edge engaged without the fingers lifting it off the surface. Bob Taylor used an angle similar to that on the REKAT neckers.
