I have been wanting one of these for awhile so I decided to just go ahead and pick one up. I have owed a Kel-Tec P3AT but I sold it off after having repeated issues with the magazine release but I have missed having an easy to carry BUG in my collection.

The fit and finish on the LCP is much more refined than the Kel-Tecs. It fits in the hand well thanks to it's built in indents for the thumb and trigger finger and it is very pleasing to the eye. The gun has a tight feel to it's constrution and it's action and trigger is very smooth although it has quite a long travel distance in the trigger pull. The long pull wasn't all that noticible while shooting and I have alot of practice shooting DA revolvers so to me it wasn't really a big deal.

I put about 75 rounds through the pistol this afternoon and I have to say that for me, this gun may as well not have had sights on it at all. My 40 y/o eyes had a devil of a time picking up that minute little bump on the end of the slide. As I was only shooting at typical BUG distance of 5 yards, I just relied mainly on point shooting with good results. At 5 yards I was able to keep my shots inside of a 5" circle shooting rapid fire. Not bad I thought!

There isn't much to hold on to with a micro-sized pistol like this, so follow up shots require a bit more attention than is needed for a bigger gun. Still it was not very difficult to get all the rounds where they needed to be.

The little gun had no malfuntions with either the WWB fmj ammo that I bought with it or with the miscellaneous 25 rounds of loose .380's that I pulled out of the bottom bin of my safe.

Looks like I have a BUG to go with my LCR now! I'm very pleased with my LCP so far. Used within it's role as a BUG or a drop it in a pocket while running to the mailbox gun, it should do quite well. :)
