Heres my new M&P! I ran 150 rounds through it today. 50 FMJ/50 XTP HP (Freedom Munitions) and 50 FMJ Tulammo. So far I absolutely love this pistol. Not one single malfunction. I only shot 15yds and in, but it definitely is way more accurate than I am!

Very nice. I carry a M&P9c and was surprised to find how easy the full sized is to carry, never mind how sweet of a shooter it is. That's a nice holster too, is it a Forest City Tactical?

M&P features, services, loads....

That's a nice M&P pistol. I owned a 9mm full size in 2011/2012.
Id suggest adding Trijicon HD night sights, www.trijicon.com . They are bright & can hold up to rugged use.
You may want to consider adding Metalife to the M&P upper, www.mahovskysmetalife.com . They can treat the pistol slide/barrel & M&P magazines for about $90.00 USD. They are quick too. It takes 2/3 weeks compared to several months with other after market services. :uhoh:
Some like to replace the trigger with the kits from Apex Tactical. I like the Polymer trigger system but it's not critical.
Other M&P owners like to add Cerakote. I like a few colors/patterns but Id suggest adding the new "armor clear" to help prevent wear & tear.
Blown Deadline, www.blowndeadline.net offers a few good examples of Cerakote.

As for carry/CCW rounds, Id look into these brands; Corbon DPX or PowRball, Federal HST 124gr +P, Winchester PDX1 124gr +P, Ranger T/T Series 124 +P JHP, Ranger T 127gr +P+ JHP, Hornady Critical Duty +P 135gr, Speer Gold Dot 124gr +P JHP.

^^^No need for this stuff (but sure, customizing is fun).

I've got 3 full size and 1 compact M&P 9mm. They do just fine out of the box for carry or competition.

I carry a 9C quite a bit, love it. Shoots great, easy to carry in cooler weather. I haven't had any issues with the factory finish or trigger either. I would spend the money on ammo instead :D

Nice looking carry gun! I have a 9c and a Shield, very reliable guns. I did talk Smith into doing some work on the 9c's trigger, now has a sweet and noticable trigger reset.

Nice. The fly likes it too!!!
Did you stipple the front strap?

I just bought a new M&P40 with night sights & 3 mags from Buds Police Supply. Stack on the Americas Finest Military discount (I'm retired) and my price was $349. Hard to beat that.

The pistol feels great and with about 500 rds thru it the stock trigger has lightened up quite a bit. It has the new reset trigger that you can actually feel.

I dropped in a well worn 15 lb. spring & SS guide rod from my Glock 22 (fits perfect) and I can shoot light 130 Power Factor reloads all day long.

My Glock 35 might be getting a pink slip.

I see you're also in SE GA, where do you shoot? I use Patrick's in Garden City primarily...

Well I actually have no formal range to utilize at the moment other than my department range, which is only open 3 hours on one Saturday out of the month (go figure). The only other range in town is a club in which you have to be sponsored by a member and pay approximately $200 a year in member fees.

I love my M&P9c it tack drives w/my reloads! I'm kind of w/RUSTEY. The trigger is fine, like HICKOCK 45's review might be to light for carry? As far as a safety issue? So I will leave it. And TWEEK it in other areas. Just my opinion. OH and the price is really nice for a brand name gun of its caliber! :)
