I've often thought about this pistol because it is nice and compact... and an eleven round 45. I just have unresolved issues with the manufacturer.

Great gun. Search a bit here and you'll find a few threads on this gun and the pros and cons.

Bottom line, you have a really nice compact light .45 with the pt145.

AFAIK, no other manufacturer makes as compact a 45 with this gun's capacity. I carry a P11 for the exact same reason; nobody makes anything remotely similar. I'd rather carry eleven rounds of 45acp than eleven rounds of 9mm anyhow.

The 9 and 40 are a little lighter and a smidgeon narrower.

In the end they are all great for the size/weight.
