So I got on a surplus rifle kick after my good friend and I decided to buy our friend a 91/30 hex receiver Nagant. After shooting that rifle I was hooked, I had to get a few surplus rifle's for myself. So I bought a service grade Springfield Armory Garand and just recently added a 1943 No4 Mk1 Enfield made in Fazarkely(spelling?). The Garand is amazing, I can't wait to shoot it. It was just what I wanted in a Garand. It has a few dings in the stock, but overall it is a good looking rifle. It has a mix and match of H&R and SA parts. The stock is H&R. The Enfield is a different story. It was pretty sorry when I picked it up. I bought it off of Gunbroker so I couldn't inspect it before I bought it, which was a mistake. However, after about two hours of scrubbing and cleaning, it is looking and working much better. I broke the sling ring mount when I was taking it apart. The replacement just arrived. Overall I am very happy with my purchases. The Garand will be a great shooter and the Enfield will be a good project for me to work on for the next week or so, then it too will be a good shooter! Now some pics!
