Who told you the rear sight was USGI??
The color of the receiver suggests a repark ...it doesn't get to be 60+ years old and look like that..compare the patina of the bolt and slide and trigger housing to the receiver..
Carbines did have many parts made by many contractors but in many cases is information on what parts were used by who and when...
Is the little leaf spring in the rear sight blued or parked? It looks parked from the pics..
It is a nice looking carbine and not trying to nit pick but those things stood out in my eye as causes for possible concern...especially with the numerous fake flip sites out there.
It's your carbine and if you are happy with its that fine.. shoot and enjoy!
