Well she came in yesterday! :D

Only 8 days more until I can bring it home!

I had a chance to mount some accessories and shoot it tonight.

I added a First Samco G-27 grip, a DPMS Ambi Safety (I'm a lefty), a Badger Ordanance Extended latch, an ARMS 40L, and a Burris XTR-135 Red Dot.

Well After a quick 10rds to sight it in at 50ft, I switched targets and went to 25 yards. Here is 90 rds of mixed rapid double taps and aimed fire.

The gun ran 100%. I couldn't be happier with it. I plan on running atleast another 400 or so through it Saturday to really get use to it.

The only thing I see so far I'm going to change is the sight mount. It needs the 1" ring. I bought the 3/4" ring and it rest the red dot on the front sight post, I'd like it to be a bit higher.

I might decide to eliminate the front gas block (the gun is recoil operated) and replace it with a flip up front sight. Don't know just yet though. I kinda like the look of it right now.

And some pics of the gun

I really want one, way more options for places to shoot than 5.56, but then again I'd want a 5.56 too, ug, limited budgets are a bummer:cool:

Looking good brother!

Curious though....recoil operated?

Is that because it's the 9mm carbine specifically or is that something RRA can do for any AR platform? I can see where that would be of help keeping the chamber clean....seems as if it works just fine based on your target :p

The Colt guns are recoil operated as well.

And it works beatifully! I can't wait to get to the range Saturday to shoot it some more!

have you run any JHP through it yet?

Not yet. I might try a box of Hydra Shoks this weekend. I've shot plenty of Gold Dots and Golden Sabers through Colt Sub Guns w/o any problems, Hopefully that luck will carry through to the RRA.

Nice rifle!

I've got one myself and it's a blast to shoot!

Are you using Colt mags or converted UZI mags for your 9mm?

I've consistently had reliability problems when loading over 15 rounds in the uzi mags. I finally bought a pro mag to test and it's been 100% so far for all 32 rounds. The only complaint I have about the pro mags are that they swell when fully loaded, much like the old non metal lined glock mags.

Good Shooting

I'm using the converted Uzi mag it came with. So far for the 100 rounds I've shot it has been 100%. I have 4 more of the mags coming from Rock River (when ever they get here  ). I am planing of getting some Colt 32 rd mags in a little while (after I recover from buying the rifle and accessories)

I prefer the Colts for only one reason, they hold the bolt open after the last shot, something the Uzi mags don't do.

I've also been thinking about getting the Pro Mags myself, but I was leary due to their reputation. I'm glad to hear you've had good luck with yours, How many rounds have you shot through you Pro Mags?

I guess it's only $20 a mag, they should be alright for range mags.
